Consumer/Client Tips:
     Recruiting friends and your practitioner.

The underline means there's a link there with more info -- click on it!

1.  Ask your practitioner whether or not they are licensed.  Most alternative health care practitioners are not licensed and unlicensed practitioners include nutritional consultants, herbalists, yoga practitioners, personal trainers, massage therapists.  If the person is an acupuncturist,  midwife or ND, they are licensed and this does not pertain to them.
If your practitioner is not licensed, tell them that there is a glitch in Montana law that makes what they do illegal, and you want to help them fix it.  Massage therapists are trying for licensure, but what if it doesn't go through?  Then this bill will help them too.

2.  Tell your friends and family the same thing... and tell them that they have the right to see the practitioner of their choice.  This bill will help them do that.

3.  Hand out copies of the bill, the FAQ sheet and the Q&A sheet to answer people's questions.

4.  Ask them talk to their legislator about it.

5.  You talk to a legislator about this.

6.  If a practitioner asks how this bill could impact them, tell them about the Montana Law Conflicts.

7. MOST IMPORTANTLY:  if anyone asks you a question that you can't answer, don't bluff.  Say that you don't know but will find out and then contact our legislative liaison with your question.
