The workshop: Practical MovementTM -- The Lower Extremities 17 Contact Hours
This somatic movement re-education workshop is geared to those who wish to learn how to add a movement component to their massage and bodywork sessions.
Topics covered include: Specific movements to integrate into your current practice. Movements that: - reinforce your soft tissue work, leading to better results. - target particular postural distortions. - target specific muscles. - access muscles from different points of initiation. Cost: Prior to Sept. 1: $295 members* -- special reduced price $395 non-members After Sept. 1: $395 *Join the BLMTB at the time of registration ($10 yearly for email / $25 yearly for paper membership) and receive the discounted price! Deborah Kimmet, a nationally known instructor, previously taught for St. John Seminars for many years. The PMT concepts were developed as a culmination of Deborah's 20 years of clinical practice, research and learning – from other teachers, her students, and her clients.Bringing nearly 30 years of group facilitation and teaching skills to the classroom, Deb teaches with a dose of humor and a focus on finding innovative methods to help students understand and retain the coursework. Deb has also been involved with the BLMTB for several years and recently returned to Montana. She has generously agreed to donate the profit from the seminar (including her teaching fee) to the BLMTB.
Continuing Education Hours: Status AMTA / ABMP Approval: The AMTA and ABMP do not require pre-approval for Continuing Education. This workshop meets their guidelines.
NCBTMB: approved provider status not yet approved. PMT Seminars will apply for NCBTMB approved provider status shortly after the seminar in accordance with NCBTMB guidelines. Once the approved provider status is gained (within 3-6 months), the workshop approval will be retroactive. Therefore, if you need to renew within 3-6 months, it is not advised that you use this workshop to meet your CE requirements. If your renewal is for later, then it is likely that the seminars will have gained approved status by the time your renewal is due. Students will be notified and re-issued certificates when the approved status is gained.
